- or why bosses are not a spreadsheet
First of all: Combat
I always hated and never "voluntarily" Combat played. Either in PvE or PvP. With WotLK seemed (and seems) Mutilate a perfectly good alternative to be, at least on paper, aka Spreadsheet. Accordingly, I have
played since the first WotLK Raid Mutilate. Since in our 25er Raid, however, a Combat Rogue missing (4% Raid Damage Buff) and Critbuff a Retri is, I have this week despite suboptimal Combat Gear (see Armory and suboptimal refers to the comparison to my Mutilate Gear), as the Combat (sword) geraidet.
following DPS analysis made me wonder:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=rwBGAYLvECiscszlDZDA4wQ
In theory, Mutilate with "murder-read" several hundred DPS against bosses are Combat (this statement applies to "best in slot" gear).
fact, but there are Ulduar in a single battle in which Mutilate is actually the front - and that's Lich King - and there is the difference minimal. Although the Iron Council Mutilate also easily forward - but I would personally say that there, especially in Hard Mode Combat simply more "on demand" brings Damage, when it comes to kill Steel Breaker. Until then, consistent DPS (returns the Mutilate), although in each case, "nice", but the sticking point is, the short time that you have to kill Steel Breaker - especially if the 10 no MS effect and bring you as Mutilate eh WP would have to put it on the MH, thus the low DPS advantage would be completely gone.
The whole is then mirrored in the log file again. It should be noted that the "Combat" Run took place but with almost ideal support, which in the weeks previously was not always given. In addition, some bosses a lot of AE damage there - not only that there Combat usually performed better, I played in the Combat week, for the first time for Offhandwechsel FoK.
But despite all that is still to Combat my first run, compared with the best runs I've picked out my Mutilate spec.
Here's the DPS values for the various Encounter compared Mutilate Combat:
Razorscale
Combat:
6736
Mutilate:
5145
XT
Combat:
8268
Mutilate:
7655
Hodir
Combat:
9812
Mutilate:
9289
Thorim
Combat:
7355
Mutilate:
~ 6500 (currently applies only logs that even under 4K lie, as I remember, but that was about the highest value).
Auriaya:
Combat:
7524
Mutilate:
6093
Vezax:
Combat:
5055
Mutilate:
4527
course there are many explanations. Especially the 4% Damage, Combat brings the general. Second FoK weapons, and when changing Encounter as approximately Vezax that can Energiepooling Combet with more air and less energy overcapped when to kick is divided. In XT, I had only a Combat NOT bomb. etc. ..
The general trend is already clear, however, even if not all bosses are logged (Ignis were about to me almost identical values for the 6.5 K).

Raid Interface - some thoughts
When I'm with WotLK quasi mutates into a pure PvE'ler studies, I spec and equipment seized by some time in my UI.
one hand, of course, to have a "nice" interface, on the other hand, too - to the raid as "play well" can. I think as DD'ler is the DPS increase through a good interface is not so easily measurable - a good player is perhaps perfectly at ease with the default Blizzard UI - I felt personally but I sometimes overwhelmed the fast for me the important information to see - what is the one to make your own death, on the other, that one's "rotation" in stressful situations can not meet perfectly and then live with Damage-loss.
here once a picture - only on the dummy, I'll make another one in time during a raid encounter, because much more information and add-ons are added.
Let's start with basic
to:
General idea is the most important information I need for a close Encounters possible, but as little disturbing in the middle of the screen is to be had. The less important information is, the farther they travel with me outside.
character / target frames - Pitbull:
are default, character and end up links just not where I can see well during Encounters. Both frames are relatively large because the target frame still contains a Castbar.
Consider please, that I am usually in the raid at the maximum zoom level playing outside. Your character will then none of these Show hidden.
Important information on the target are first of all HP percentage (absolute HP for me are more important in PvP, but not disturb me).
addition I would like to be able to read and type the target (the change of goals important). If a target have a raid target, this appears centered above the target frame.
buffs of the target had faded, I faded out debuffs.
My own Healthbar symettriegründen is relatively large, and indeed only of. Pibull it will turn red when you have aggro - helpful, even if it is then often too late.
Pitbull shows my raid frames. I have it configured to the players than about 100x10 large bar at the top left descending and sorted are displayed in groups. Alternatively, you can also use Grid.
energy and combo points - naiCombo + NugEnergy
The most important information for a Rogue needs imho also the main square. naiCombo has no animation, so the CP to see instant, as soon as I get them.
Nugenergy can set a small vertical bars: I have it set at 25, 35, 55 and 80 energy. 25 energy I need for Rupture and SnD, Envenom and 35 for 55 for Mutilate. 80 because then I know that after Mutilate inc GCD again have enough energy for Envenom or for Kick (Kick da has no GCD is missing, then yes the one second energy regeneration).
Temora buffs and debuffs - Event Horizon:
I have a lot experimientiert and imho nothing beats Event Horizon for tracking the "rotary-skills. First, EH has a completely linear display: The shortest bar is always first. In many other addons are these bars are X pixels wide (eg 300) - it can happen that a fast running out buff / debuff a slowly leaking "out of date", which makes the timing generally.
Reason 2 are the small strokes over the poison ad. To display the ticks. So I can always concise Envenom to use a DP Tick and thus increase the damage. In addition, EH
has a GCD indicator and Tricks of the Trade appears both as buff and in the form of the cool downs.
Action Bar Bartender:
First and foremost, I wanted any action bars, I can hide. I need to see no icon Mutilate, if I know which button is on it. Generally for me everything is bound to keys - in line with me you see no button.
Cool Downs - Cool Down Watch:
Cool Down Watch can be configured at best, I think - especially since you have CDs there and they do not activate by default to all. You build up at me from below above at fixed positions. Currently I have the frame slightly further to the right.
Combat Text - MSBT:
As you can see I have hidden all DoT ticks, etc White hits. Right now I just let my immunities, Dodges and Parries's and Crits. Actually, I could also hide the Crits yet. Since I PvE with the PvP interface, but seldom, do I have left it in there.
buffs / debuffs - Elkano's Buffbars:
Imho they can configure the best. Many buffs are with me on Black List - I have not seen each totem, or my Stealth Buff etc. Currently, there are still my weapons / Trinketprocs it, but I will probably take out and let only those poisons, Flask, food and all buffs raid-relevant ads that are buffed before a fight.
debuffs are left on my Charfenster. Where I have to work even more, they are zzt. Approximately mirrored the cooldown bar. I think I'll take icons with time, the sting spontaneously more obvious than the bars.
tooltip Tiptac :
nothing so special, not overly important, but well-configured.
Map - Sexymap:
I find the name of the texture packs just do not know with whom I could give Sexymap and chat frames this look. Just a little eye-candy and the option hide the buttons.
chat frames - Chatmod, KgPanels + Texture Pack:
mainly eye-candy and containing the function to be able to click links.
info bar - Fubar:
Provides plenty of space, because many items fit in there - and there are add-ons that are somewhere else on the screen. I hide it COULD have. However, they do not disturb me in combat, so I left it in there.
Out of sight:
Omen / Recount:
In the picture are not visible Omen and Recount - with me next to the minimap. During the struggle, Omen, and Recount of (yes, I'm DD'ler, Recount if I have to, I always squint on it again and that is not good;)) out of Combat is Omen, and Recount to.
DBM:
Nothing special. The bars are left on the debuff and the large bar in the middle I will just appear in my character. I have to leave only the transparency of the bar a little lower and off, especially the non-rogue-related notifications.
ORA2: important
Actually, only for MT / MT Targets. If actively displayed below Recount.
Other possible improvements include: prominent display of temporary buff (light column at Lich King, for example, or Waffenprocs Proc Cool and Downs). Power Auras can do a lot of what I wish for there, but I honestly herumzukonfigurieren still had no desire, since, as mentioned buffs are now seen so PA and makes them see only easier. In addition, I've spent Mutilate Rogue anyway little burst cooldowns, where would this information help me massively.
I had "Proccodile" on it came, but not well with it.
Update: Here is my interface of today in a 5-grp
changes: shown
Cool Cool Downs in line to make room Rech been reorganized over the target frame buff in EBB and smaller. Groups: Top Right in green: Relevant (Raid) buffs, including in Red: My Selfbuffs. Debuffs improved (Satrinas Buff Frames) sadly not to see because no debuff active.
